Planning with better control and higher quality
Smart input functionality makes the company’s planning process simpler and faster, and can be used for traditional budgeting and forecasting work and such things as production and project planning. Access to detailed information and transactions in the input area support the user’s assessment of the future. In the same way, optional history can be presented as reference information or can be the basis of automatically calculated budget or forecast proposals.

Currency translations and allocations of centrally input items can be made automatically in accordance with rules defined by the customer, for example, in accordance with used internal services, areas in square metres or similar. Figures are fully automatically consolidated immediately after input, making them accessible for analysis at all levels straight away.
Work Process Control
With integrated Work Process Control, the authorised user has full control over the progress of work at all levels, and can easily identify where each employee is in the process. This is a considerable advantage as many employees are involved in planning work. Messages can be sent automatically, for example when a budget or forecast is opened for input, or when a deadline becomes imminent. Debriefings can be made routine.

Simulations and recalculations
The simulation function enables any user to analyse quickly the effects of changed conditions and new developments at various levels. If, for example, the conditions of a department or product are altered, the system immediately recalculates and displays the result. The effects of currency movements and other changes which affect large areas of the company’s operations can be easily analysed at all levels.
All planning in one system
Mercur Business Control supports various types of planning process and handles traditional budgeting and forecasts for the present year as well as rolling forecasts. The customer also has support for strategic planning and long-term forecasts, all with an optional planning horizon and degree of detail.
