Public Sector / Organisations

  • SMHI

With Mercur Business Control, SMHI has had extensive support for its planning and follow-up at all levels for a very long time. Of the organisation’s 600 or so employees, 150 use Mercur. SMHI is a public authority under the Swedish Ministry of the Environment, the task of which is to conduct three types of activity: grant-financed operations, assignments from other authorities, and business activities on commercial terms. The separate activities impose considerable demands on such things as follow-up and elimination of inter-trade, carried out in Mercur to create a correct picture of operations.

  • Stockholms Universitet

Since Mercur was introduced, Stockholm University has had a joint solution for all budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis for the university’s 150 users. Mercur is used by the central finance department, and also primarily by financial administrators in departments and by the university’s faculty controllers.

  • The Swedish Red Cross

With a not-for-profit organisation such as the Red Cross, authorities, the news media, the general public, donors, members and the organisation itself set high requirements for efficient routines and systems for operational control and decision support. Over 250 users in the Swedish Red Cross therefore use Mercur Business Control; uses include planning and following up activity areas, programmes, regions and projects.
