Inside Sales Representative

Mercur Solutions are seeking motivated candidates to join our fast growing dynamic sales team in Bracknell, UK. This is an opportunity to join a ‘Fintech’ business leading the market in 'Corporate Performance Management'.

To further enhance the added value we deliver to our customers we work closely with a number of ERP vendors and suppliers of solutions within related areas.

What you’ll be doing:

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for qualifying marketing leads and prospecting into a well-defined set of corporate accounts. Working closely with the account directors you will call into companies to identify individuals who are facing financial reporting, budgeting and planning challenges which are suited to our solutions. You will introduce prospective companys to Mercur's SaaS solutions and set follow-up meetings or web-based demonstrations for you and your counterpart account director to work towards a contract to implement our solutions.

This position is located in our office in Bracknell though travel to our Stockholm office will be expected for training and company meetings.

This role requires a motivated self-starter capable of making things happen and delivering results. Primarily this is an outbound lead qualification position -you must be exceptionally comfortable on the phone and highly motivated to contact prospects via multiple methods in order to achieve your targets. The Business Development Representatives hired needs to be hands-on, results-oriented, metrics driven and pragmatic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly & annual quota.

  • Identify, process, and qualify leads into sales opportunities

  • Support a variety of outbound marketing programs

  • Develop qualified leads by researching, profiling, cold calling, and networking targeted companies/contacts

  • Be comfortable and proficient in identifying key decision makers across various organizations inside our ideal customer profile and uncovering the compelling events that will drive qualified opportunities for our sales organization

  • Be confident in positioning our value proposition from the operator level to the executive level,

  • Manage a large and growing database of leads in HubSpot, efficiently processing all opportunities, tracking, reporting and maintaining them until they are established in the sales pipeline

  • Transition qualified leads to the appropriate regional Account Director.

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Any experience in business development or inside sales is a distinct advantage but training will be provided

  • Any experience gained with a business intelligence or performance management vendor is a distinct advantage.

  • You must be positive, flexible, willing to learn, and constantly push yourself to succeed

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an outgoing, energetic presence

  • Experience with HubSpot, or other CRM is an advantage

  • Demonstrated work ethic and consistent track record of over achievement including initiative in prospecting calls

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence without authority

  • Ability to adapt, contribute and succeed in a fast paced, rapidly changing, early stage company environment

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong desire to start a career in technical sales
