MTR Nordic saves time with Mercur Business Control

The public transport company MTR Nordic, with responsibility for the Stockholm underground and commuter trains, and its subsidiaries MTR Tech and MTR Express, with railway traffic between Stockholm and Gothenburg, use Mercur Business Control for performance management, which includes reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and KPI management. 

KPI management means control and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators. KPI management is performed in the areas of Safety, Environment, Customer Service, Human Resources and Finance. 

MTR Nordic is a labor-intensive business and much analysis is done of FTE:s, full-time equivalents, and personnel costs. Mercur Business Control is also used for monthly reporting, reporting to the head offices in London and Hong Kong as well as for deviation analysis against plans.

Mercur Business Control gives MTR Nordic more opportunities for extended analysis. They find a great value that the system is easy to adapt to and that they can now save time by eg salary analysis that they previously carried out in Excel. MTR also uses the module Strategic Targets Management, which will help them gain a systematic overview of how the organization is performing concerning the objectives and the activities. 

 

Mercur Business Control is integrated with MTR's data warehouse, which in turn fetches data from the ERP system Visma and the HR system HR+. MTR Nordic has about 250 users in Mercur Business Control.

MTR Nordic is part of the global MTR Corporation, which was established in Hong Kong in 1975, with a mandate to establish and run the subway in Hong Kong. MTR stands for Mass Transit Railway. In 2000, MTR was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange but is still majority owned by the special Chinese administration which controls Hong Kong.
